Influencing Change is a collaborative project between University of the Arts London’s Outreach team, the Ideas Foundation, Canon and Chelsea Space that brings together 14-19 year old students from across London. The students have been working on a live brief to create images for billboards designed to alert people about the impact of climate change.

Creative Media Camp is a five-day Summer School for 14-19 year old students from across London. The Summer School offers students an opportunity to experience working on a live brief in a professional studio environment with high-end photography equipment. During the week, students work with UAL staff and students, Ideas Foundation mentors and Canon ambassadors to create content that influences change and improvement. This year, the focus of their brief was climate change.

Climate change is one of the most significant concerns faced by the world today. Over the past year, young people all over the world have come together to protest, inform and influence the older generations and decision makers to ensure that the issue is taken seriously.

The Creative Media Camp students have responded to this by creating a billboard image, images for an Instagram campaign and a 15 second video, to inform people on the impact of climate change and what they can do to help prevent of this.

The exhibition shows the final image for a billboard produced by each of the groups.
